7 new fragrances you need in your washbag

Renowned fragrance house Floris have been producing luxurious toiletries since 1730, making them one of the oldest retailers of their kind in the world. This pair of new fragrances have been released as part of a collaboration with Harrods, which sees them being sold exclusively through the iconic department store. Made using rare oud oil from sustainably sourced agarwood, these fragrances can be described as nothing other than regal, boasting complex scents that develop as you wear them throughout the day. ‘Leather Oud’ is deep and unforgettably lustrous and ‘Honey Oud’ is slightly sweeter, and perfect for everyday wear.

Alford & Hoff

Alford & Hoff’s signature fragrance was introduced in America in 2009 and has since proven to be a big hit. Now available on our fair shores, it looks set to be just as popular and this would be well-deserved, given the alluring scent that lurks beneath the elegantly designed cylindrical bottle. Exclusively sold at Harrods, Alford & Hoff is at first light, even citrusy, but over time develops an intricately moody aroma that is as seducing as it is addictive.

Penhaligon's Bayolea

The Bayolea eau de toilette forms an integral part of Penhaligon’s first ever comprehensive grooming range, which was launched in July. A zesty fragrance, it works perfectly as a summer fragrance, thanks to its light top notes of mandarin, tangerine and lemongrass.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Masculin Pluriel

This sensual fragrance has been inspired by the great classics. It’s a fougere, and instantly evokes masculinity and a timeless elegance, but it’s very much a scent all of its own. The boutique company have really struck gold with Pluriel, not least because they have shunned trends and opted for an aroma which will, undoubtedly, stand the test of time.

Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi

Bold, brash and undeniably sexy, this is a statement fragrance that perfectly encapsulates everything you could want from a summertime scent. Perfect for men or women, it will see you through the warm months in absolute style.

Guerlain L'Homme Ideal

This is the first men’s fragrance launch from Guerlain in eight years, but it’s well worth the wait. Almond based, it has a masculine sweetness and sense of depth that will make you want to wear it all the time and, thanks to its woody leather base note and aromatic orange-zest finish, this is more than possible.

Murdock Renshaw

Murdock London are perhaps best known for their outstanding barbershop services, which are on offer in six distinct locations throughout our fair capital. They do however produce a range of fine grooming products too, the likes of which should not be overlooked. Their second fragrance created in celebration of Britain’s great sporting tradition, Renshaw is wonderfully fresh and light. Its top notes of red grapefruit and Sicilian bergamot are accented beautifully by green peppercorn as well as the musk and white woods of its base.
