The 10 Exercises Every Man Should Know

pullup-TGJ.01

Every man wants sculpted arms, a toned mid section and to turn heads like those cover model images we are constantly bombarded with.

Aside from a well thought through meal plan to help you achieve those rippling abs, here are the 10 exercises that should be a part of every man’s routine…

1. SQUAT, 2. DEAD LIFT, 3. BENCH PRESS, 4. BODY WEIGHT PULL UPS

These first four exercises are perhaps the most crucial. With these four moves, you can activate virtually every muscle in your body, create a great fat burn and muscle development response. You’ll build muscle, burn fat and maintain good proportions.

5. PLANK, 6. MILITARY PRESS , 7. REVERSE BENT OVER ROW, 8. DIPS

With the above 8 exercises you activate your whole body and develop strength, power, stability and, if done with full range of motion and proper technique, a greater range of motion through your major muscles. ?Whether you do these exercises as strength moves or decide to up the reps and superset them to create a fat burn, they make for a savage workout.

Lastly, I believe that every man (and woman) should have a HIIT/ cardio element to their workouts. The best place to look for inspiration for these CV workouts is to the pros that are leading the way.

That being said:

9. SKIPPING, 10. HILL SPRINTS

These final two exercises are the cherry on top of any workout plan and make all the difference when it comes to maintaining a cut and well rounded physique.

Learn the correct technique for all these exercises and you will never be left wondering what to do next in the gym!

Train safe, train smart and be consistent.
