Why every gentleman needs a denim shirt…

The denim shirt is an item that many men are often scared to try; it’s seen as too trendy or fashion-forward by a lot of gents but we’re here to tell you that it really needn’t be.

If you wear it in the right way, like anything we promise that it will come together and that you’ll pull it off. You need to wear it with neutral basics; you don’t want to take any attention away from the shirt by wearing something too garish and out there. The perfect outfit to wear with your denim shirt should include a pair of black chinos, some smart trainers (see our guide here), a simple sweatshirt and an overcoat.

See the denim shirt as the regular shirts trendier, younger brother; it’s the perfect thing to wear on the weekend or when you’re heading out with friends on a Thursday night. The key is to find the right style from the right brand – which is what we’re here to do.

Gant Rugger

Every gentleman needs a shirt to wear on the more casual occasions in his life, and this from Gant Rugger is the perfect example. Be sure to avoid any other denim with this or you’ll risk looking like 90s Timberlake…
