Underground Cinema, Waterloo

The days of rooftop and outdoor cinema are over; for the season, anyway. Fear not because in its place – at the opposite end of the spectrum – is Underground Cinema, coming to you from the vast vaults under Waterloo station.

Rooftop Film Club, which is opening this Thursday (11th November), are setting up an amazing new way to experience cinema and bring you cult classics (think Grand Budapest Hotel, The Big Lebowski and Pulp Fiction) and recent films like Mad Max: Fury Road alike.

The history of the Waterloo vaults is atmospheric and incredible; a historical underworld turned contemporary art space. And, if you thought that it stopped with film – think again. Cocktail connoisseurs Spirited Mixers will be there offering some of the most delicious and charismatic cocktails, as well as an unrivalled selection of some of London’s best street food, bought to you by Hawksmoor head chef Richard Sandiford.

Underground Cinema will be screening films 5 days per week from 11th of November.
