Trailer: Jurassic World

We have been made to wait fourteen years for the newest instalment of the Jurassic Park series and, after watching the trailer, we can assure you this film will definitely be worth the wait. Bringing it back to the screen – bigger and better than ever – is relatively new director Colin Trevorrow, who is best known for his work on the indie film Safety Not Guaranteed. With a cast that includes Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, this film will be nothing short of an action – and dino – packed thriller. Jurassic World picks up twenty-two years after the last Jurassic Park was released and takes place in a park on ‘Isla Nublar’. Controlled by the sinister Masrani Global group, the park welcomes more than 20,000 visitors every day and boasts an ‘accident-free’ environment. Danger envelopes the park when the Masrani scientists decide to create their own genetic dinosaur, not identified within the trailer. Unlike other films, where we often see heavily saturated, over the top CGI visuals in an attempt to win over the viewer with special effects alone, this movie will hopefully be thought-provoking as well as exciting. Treverrow has seemingly perfected an engaging balance between the film’s plot and mesmerising special effects, the trailer entices and entertains making us wish June 2015 would come sooner. The park is most certainly open and we can’t wait to see what happens inside…
