THE STYLE MISTAKES YOU SHOULD LEAVE IN YOUR 20s

The art of dressing well is one that needs to be honed over a number of years. Unless you were born with a supernatural eye for putting outfits together, you will likely have made numerous errors and bad judgements over time, the likes of which you’ll probably wish you could forget. This is not such a bad thing however, as your style should be constantly evolving and in order to know your boundaries, it’s necessary to cross them every once in a while.

As you get older though your style should reflect your wise, distinguished persona, and if you want to be taken seriously you must leave behind certain mistakes you made in your youth.

BRASH LOGOS, Whilst we wouldn’t recommend big logos and statement t-shirts for the sartorially aware of any age, they almost certainly become unacceptable once you leave your 20s. Try and avoid shouting about your new purchase via a large logo on the front. Instead, opt for understated quality with minimal pieces that flatter your body shape.,

UNTUCKING YOUR SHIRT, This is a small detail, but one that shouldn’t be overlooked. An untucked shirt can add a youthful nonchalance whilst in your 20s, but as you get older it will more than likely look sloppy and lazy. A simple act that is ignored by too many men, tucking in your shirt will make you look confident, sophisticated and ready to tackle whatever the day throws at you.,

NEGLECTING YOUR WALLET, We all know that the accessories can make or break an outfit, so start nailing them. That tired-looking wallet that took you through your teens just won’t do anymore. You use it everyday, so invest in a quality leather item that will get better with age and you’ll look like a man knows what he’s doing.,

MISJUDGING THE WEATHER, A large part of growing older is taking on more responsibility as well as being better prepared. Before you leave your house in the morning, have a quick gander at the weather forecast and adjust accordingly. If it’s going to rain, bring an umbrella. If it’s scorching hot, wear lightweight, breathable fabrics. Preparation is key, so start doing it.,
