Taking their inspiration from the world of aviation, Spyker was founded way back in 1880 and they garnered plenty of acclaim with innovations in their road and racing cars, until they went bankrupt in 1925. Luckily for us though, Spyker was resurrected at the turn of this century, and this is their latest creation.
Available in spyder and hardtop form, the B6 Venator is a stunning piece of work. Inside and out, the B6 has been meticulously created, demonstrating how fine craftsmanship can go a very long way indeed. Every aspect of this fine automobile has been executed with the utmost attention to detail and the finished result is a testament to Spyker’s continued dedication to excellence.
Power comes from a 375bhp, rear-mid mounted V6 that is expected to propel the car from 0-62mph in under 4.5 seconds. Whilst this may not be as quick as other machines within the same price bracket, that’s not what Spyker are about. They pride themselves on delivering an experience unlike any other, with the emphasis very much on the theatre and dramatical aspects of driving a completely bespoke automobile.
This attention to detail is most prevalent in the B6’s interior, which takes direct inspiration from Spyker’s impressive history in aviation. The car features a red cover that must be flicked up in order to activate the ignition switch, as well as the signature exposed gear change mechanism, turned aluminium fascia and milled dials, bezels and switches on the dashboard.
