Women are most attracted to men this age

A new study has uncovered men's most handsome year

There are many theories concerning the age women find most attractive. From those convinced that the slightly older silver foxes – George Clooney-types – will always win out, to those who wish to stay youthful and on the radar of ‘cougars’ forever, everyone has a different opinion.

But now, a study from a Finnish University has cleared things up. Regardless of their own age, Jan Antfolk of Åbo Akademi University in Turku found that women sexually prefer men who are a little older than them.

Men, it was found, prefer women in their twenties – regardless of their own age – but those on the hunt for someone much younger may be fighting an uphill battle, as women are unlikely to stray more than a year or two above their own age.

Furthermore, a data dive by Christian Rudder, co-founder of OkCupid, has used surveys to find the male age women find attractive above all others. The result? Between 38 and 39.

That’s the age Clooney was during Ocean’s Eleven, Brad Pitt was during Troy, and Will Smith in I Am Legend. So what are your thoughts? Do you expect to look your best on this cusp of middle age, or are you relishing your youthful twenties for all they’re worth?
