A look inside some of the most expensive private jets in the world

Businessmen are reaching for the skies in style

For those who can afford it, the private jet allows freedom, luxury, and unbelievable comfort – far above the world of airport check-ins and cramped economy seats. We chart the trajectories of the highest-worth planes under private possession and the lofty ideals they aspire to. Start saving, gentlemen.

This ‘Yacht of the Skies’ boasts the greatest length of any plane built so far, and certainly makes use of its spacious interior. The owner is unknown, but inside you’ll find huge bedrooms, conference spaces, lounges, offices, and a grand entrance hall complete with a rising staircase.

Outsizing even Putin’s private jet, this sleek machine is owned by none other than Russia’s wealthiest man, billionaire Alisher Usamanov. Purchased for just over $200 million, the extensive redecoration practically doubled its overall worth.

Despite being the largest passenger airliner in the world, this behemoth Airbus was a perfect fit for Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who stripped out most of the seats to fit in a garage, elevator, concert hall, and personalised Turkish bath.

The so-called ‘Trump Force One’ was bought by the current US President in 2011, from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. With Rolls-Royce’s RB211 turbofan engines, this jet boasts brute force and is infamous among pilots for its hard-to-handle power – no doubt preparing its owner for navigating America’s turbulent times.
