5 new motorbikes we wish we owned

Motorbikes, unlike cars, tend to updated gradually in minute adjustments year on year. But in the last year a raft of game changing two-wheelers has hit the tarmac and it’s not just their looks that are making waves. The Indian Scout 2014, featured later in this article, is the first change to the original model for 70 years. Which puts it in the same league as Prince Charles taking the throne off the Queen.

Midual Type 1

The ultra-elite French motorbike producer Midual are asking a cool $185,000 for this road-ripping ride and for good reason. They’ve redesigned the wheel and come up with an ingenious new engine, a space shuttle light chassis and put it together with a rarely seen level of detail – if you’ve got the cash, this is how to spend it.

Triumph Bonneville Pegaso

Pegaso-2

This bike is truly unique. And although that is an incredibly overused description, here it’s used with reason. Tamarit Spanish Motorcycles have taken the original 2006 Bonneville Pegaso and turned it into an off-roader, that’s as stylish as it is robust.

Harley Davidson Livewire Electric Motorcycle

Harley Davidson

Electric motorbikes have been whispered about, shouted about and now they’ve been made. And the first to come out with a properly decent proposition was, of course, Harley Davidson. It’s slightly surprising that the brash American brand so revered for producing ear-splittingly loud two-wheelers took up the challenge, but they’ve done a good job. Unfortunately it’s not for sale, but it is available to ride at 30 dealers across the country and although very few specs have been released the idea of riding a silent Harley is enough to get us excited.

Brasse 31BLK Kawasaki Ninja Mod Kit

For those that find the Kawasaki Ninja250 just isn’t enough (stylistically at least) then this superb mod kit should do the trick. It comes with lots of additions to get the best out of your bike and its easy to make the moderations with the tools provided, but our favourite modification has to be the gulling headlamps. Batman would be jealous.

You can find our full rundown of this new release here, but if you just want the lowdown what you need to know is; it’s the first re-design of this iconic bike in 70 years, its aluminium frame makes it incredibly light and the liquid cooled 1133cc V twin engine pumps up over 100 horsepower.
